The Town Council
Llandrindod Wells Town Council was established in 1974, and comprises 15 elected Members and employs 1 member of staff. The Council elects a Chair/Mayor and Vice Chair/Deputy Mayor annually. Town Council members are unpaid and are democratically elected or co-opted.
Llandrindod Wells Town Council is the one of the largest of its kind in Powys and operates within electoral boundaries designated by Powys County Council. Llandrindod Wells has a population of approximately 6,000 people. There are currently over 3077 residential properties in the town, which is increasing regularly.
